Mistaken

The Perfect Shot

Waiting patiently, still, positioned just so, sweat trickles down my temples. I watch birds and insects flutter in and out of my frame. The sun is bright, and the grass is itchy, but I will stay just a few moments longer with finger poised on the button depressed halfway. I wait for the perfect shot, and sometimes I am rewarded for my dedication.
