Carry Me Home

Twilight casts its shadow
Upon the open door
Colors swirl on gentle breezes
Winter comes once more

Day shutters to its end
Last light crawls upon the shore
Where ships wait to take us home
When no spark remains,
We close the darkened door

Hope

The seed deep below,
Waits while winter holds hostage,
Reaches to the sky
When bitterness passes
Hope renewed soars on sunbeams

Seasons

Seasons come and go
Downpours of rain, then ice and snow
Sunshiney days and a cool evening breeze
Budding flowers and leaves falling from trees
Time passes on while nature puts on a show

In the wind and rain
Branches wave like rugged flags
Mourning fallen leaves
